Wilkes Comic Con… and beyond!

Wilkes Comic Con recently celebrated its fifth anniversary. It has been an incredible ride. From our humble beginnings at Benton Hall to weathering a pandemic and now literally bursting the seams at the Stone Center, the Wilkes Comic Con has been a learning experience for our whole team.

We’ve put on stage shows, hosted movie screenings, held concerts, book signings, and how-to seminars. There have been wrestlers, actors, cosplayers, artists, authors, collectors, crafters, Ghostbusters, and Klingons  who have shouted “Qapla’!” more times than I can possibly imagine. Dragons have been slain. Pokémon have been captured, and a giant mechwarrior even walked across our stage. We’ve been featured on the radio, in the newspaper, and even streamed live on the internet. People have come from up and down the East  Coast and from as far away as Texas to visit the con and we have been called “The Biggest Little Con in the State!”

We owe much of our success to our sponsorship partners, especially the Wilkesboro Tourism Development Authority who have helped in so many ways. Our home is Wilkes County and we hope you come visit.

This success helped us to branch into new events. Labor Day Weekend 2023, Adventura Events host our first Artists Retreat at Stone Mountain, and now on October 5, 2024 we will be running the Boone Comic Con!

There are many other projects in development, and we welcome your feedback and suggestions.

Thank you so much for your continued support!
